This tutorial will walk you through setting up ENUM with FreePBX. This will allow different systems that are both ENUM members to make calls to each other simply by dialing the other party’s main phone number. This is similar to how DNS looks up and IP address when you visit a website.

This is great stuff; honestly!!
Although, does this mean you do not need to pay “anything” for calls between these two numbers?

Correct, if the call can be made directly, then it goes out over your internet connection and is handled PBX to PBX with no carrier in the middle.
